Item 8.01 Other Events
Worthington Industries, Inc. (“Worthington Industries”) issued a new release announcing that its subsidiary, Worthington Cylinder Corporation, had purchased Structural Composites Industries, LLC (SCI) on September 3, 2009. SCI is a leading manufacturer of DOT-approved lightweight, aluminum-lined, composite-wrapped high pressure cylinders used in commercial, military, marine and aerospace applications. Product lines include cylinders for alternative fuel vehicles using natural gas or hydrogen, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), aviation oxygen and escape slides, military applications, home oxygen therapy, and advanced & cryogenic structures. The September 4, 2009 news release is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
