This Report of Foreign Private Issuer on Form 6-K is deemed filed for all purposes under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.

On July 26, 2011, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy announced that, effective as of August 1, 2011, the average electricity rates that Korea Electric Power Corporation charges to end-users will be increased as set forth below. As a result of these adjustments, the overall average electricity rate is expected to increase by 4.9%.
