On May 30, 2013, in connection with the Registration Statement on Form S-4 (File No. 333-185742) filed by Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. and the Gulf Coast Ultra Deep Royalty Trust (the Trust) in order to register the issuance of royalty trust units by the Trust, Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP issued a validity opinion revised to reflect the appointment of a new trustee of the Trust.
A copy of the revised validity opinion is filed as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated herein by reference.
