Item 5.02.
Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
    
First Business Financial Services, Inc. (the “Company”) and Pamela Berneking mutually agreed to terminate Ms. Berneking’s employment effective October 1, 2016. Ms. Berneking served as President and CEO of Alterra Bank, one of the Company’s wholly owned bank subsidiaries. Ms. Berneking will receive severance payments in accordance with the terms of her previously disclosed employment agreement. David Seiler, Chief Operating Officer of First Business Financial Services, Inc. has been appointed interim President and CEO of Alterra Bank and will assume Ms. Berneking’s duties and responsibilities while the Company searches for Ms. Berneking’s replacement.
