CLEARANCE OF UNRESOLVED SEC COMMENT
ON FORM 20-F FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2009

China Techfaith Wireless Communication Technology Limited (NASDAQ: CNTF) (the “Company”) today announced that the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) has completed its review of the Company’s Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2009. The one remaining unresolved SEC comment, as disclosed in “Item 4A. Unresolved Staff Comments” of the Company’s Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2010 (File No. 000-51242 ) filed with the SEC on May 24, 2011, has been cleared and resolved.
