Item 8.01. Other Events.
     On December 11, 2006, Introgen Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that new clinical data from a study of ADVEXIN therapy demonstrated that patients with an abnormal p53 biomarker in recurrent squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck were most likely to have a survival benefit from their use of ADVEXIN therapy. A copy of the press release is being filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
