Hyperscience Unveils Winter 2025 Release, Advancing Agentic Document Automation for the Enterprise

Hyperscience Hypercell adds enhancements to its purpose-built Vision Language Model and deeper support for multi-cloud environments, empowering enterprises to flexibly automate the most complex workflows with unprecedented understanding, speed, and modularity

Hyperscience, a market leader in enterprise AI infrastructure software, focused on Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), today announced enhancements to its Hyperscience Hypercell platform. Building on the momentum of previous versions, the Winter 2025 release advances the Hypercell’s agentic document automation capabilities and reinforces the company’s guiding principle to provide a composable and modular platform that enables organizations to achieve their unique business and technology objectives.

Despite significant enterprise investment, most Gen AI initiatives are failing to deliver meaningful returns. According to new research from MIT NANDA, 95% of projects stall before reaching production1, creating what experts call the “GenAI Divide.” While tools like ChatGPT boost individual productivity, they rarely drive core business outcomes due to a lack of adaptability, contextual learning, and workflow integration. Compounding the issue, a one-size-fits-all approach to GenAI falls short. Different use cases require a mix of general-purpose and specialized models, along with the flexibility to deploy them across public cloud, on-premises, or air-gapped environments. Without this combination of precision and control, AI efforts remain stuck in pilot mode, unable to scale or generate real value.

“Enterprises around the world are waking up to a hard truth: generic GenAI tools aren't enough to drive real business transformation,” said Andrew Joiner, CEO, Hyperscience. “At Hyperscience, we are focused on delivering fast ROI and immediate business outcomes. The latest version of the Hyperscience Hypercell doubles down on this commitment to meet the core principles of agentic AI – including adaptability, context awareness, and continuous learning. By deepening the power of our specialized models, automating end-to-end processes, and expanding our multi-cloud modularity, we are empowering organizations to automate their most complex processes with unparalleled precision and control. That’s why global organizations trust us to automate their most complex, high-value processes in a secure and efficient manner, and at scale.”

Unprecedented Understanding of Documents and Processes

Driven by the successful adoption of Optical Reasoning and Cognition Agent (ORCA) by customers across industries, this Hyperscience Vision Language Model (VLM) framework is unlocking new, sophisticated use cases. Its zero-shot capabilities and “train-only-if-you-like” approach enable organizations to handle high variability in document types while accelerating time to value. The flexible nature of Hypercell is also facilitating greater compliance and data protection capabilities for organizations.

  • ORCA Enhancements: With the Winter 2025 release, enhancements to ORCA include – Supervision Page Location Focus, that points users directly to the estimated location of a field and Chat with Documents, an LLM block alternative that provides a GenAI experience to query, summarize, and validate information with contextual document citations. This enables users to deploy the feature in restricted or air-gapped environments without needing to call external APIs, enhancing security and deployment flexibility. Additionally, Hyperscience now enables streamlined fine-tuning of the powerful model that yields the highest levels of accuracy and flexibility – a rare combination in the complex document automation market.
  • Expanded Redaction, Masking, and Synthetic Data Generation: To protect sensitive data from potential exposure and ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA, protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is critical for AI adoption in the enterprise. Now, with the Winter 2025 release of the Hypercell, Hyperscience enables organizations to redact or mask PII data and replace it with synthetic equivalents if needed. This creates secure data estates for AI/ML model training across different testing environments, allows for offshoring BPO operations, and maintains governance and compliance across organizations.

Accelerated Speed and Performance

Slow document processing creates bottlenecks in critical workflows, delaying decisions, increasing manual workloads, and preventing teams from responding to business needs in real time. The Winter 2025 release introduces major performance and usability improvements that accelerate both manual and automated tasks, helping customers achieve value faster.

  • Smarter Supervision: To reduce the manual effort required by knowledge workers, the Winter 2025 release will now send only relevant pages to Flexible Extraction tasks, focusing human attention where it is most needed.
  • Enhanced Reporting: Product owners gain better insight into keyer performance with User Performance reporting for Full-Page Transcription Quality Assurance (FPTQA) tasks to effectively monitor and anticipate staffing needs.

Expanded Flexibility and Modularity for Faster Adoption of Enterprise AI

As enterprises adopt GenAI, many hit a wall due to security, compliance, and deployment inflexibility, especially in regulated industries where external APIs and cloud-only models pose unacceptable risks. Without greater control over data, infrastructure, and authentication, AI initiatives stall, unable to scale beyond pilot phases. With the Winter 2025 release, Hyperscience is addressing these challenges by introducing:

  • Expanded Hyperscaler Integrations: The platform now includes native connectors for Microsoft Azure Blob Storage and Google Cloud Storage, in addition to AWS S3 Listener and S3 Notifier, giving customers more choice in where their data resides.

Over the past year, Hyperscience has continued to cement its position as a leader in intelligent automation. The company achieved FedRAMP® High Authorization through a strategic partnership with Palantir, affirming its commitment to delivering secure, compliant solutions in highly regulated environments. Hyperscience has been named a Leader in six tier-one industry analyst reports, including being ranked a Leader in the first-ever 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Intelligent Document Processing, a Leader and Fast Mover in the 2025 GigaOm Radar for IDP, and a Leader in the Forrester Wave™: Document Mining & Analytics Platforms. These accolades further validate the technical innovation and operational excellence that drive the Winter 2025 release and set the stage for the next chapter of growth for Hyperscience.

The Hyperscience Hypercell Winter 2025 release is now available for SaaS customers and will be available for on-premises customers later in October 2025.
