As the former CEO of Kaufman Hall, Champion spearheaded seven years of significant, profitable expansion through organic growth and targeted acquisitions. His extensive background also includes leadership roles at Premier, Inc.; Accenture; and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. His appointment signals VMG Health’s commitment to anticipating market shifts and delivering cutting-edge solutions for clients navigating increasingly complex healthcare challenges.

"I am truly excited to join this team," said Champion. "VMG Health is a highly respected organization with an exceptional track record in valuation and advisory services, delivering measurable impact for healthcare organizations nationwide. In today's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, I'm eager to build on that success and help our clients navigate increasing complexity while unlocking new opportunities that will strengthen our position as the industry's most trusted advisor for business performance."

Champion's proven ability to drive growth, scale organizations, and navigate complex healthcare markets positions VMG Health to advance its strategy of expanding its consulting services—including valuation, transaction advisory, and strategic planning—and delivering innovative solutions to clients. The firm, a portfolio company of Incline Equity Partners since April 2024, is poised to expand its market presence and service offerings under Champion's leadership.

“Wes Champion’s appointment represents a pivotal moment for VMG Health,” said Leon Rubinov, Senior Partner at Incline Equity Partners. “His track record of building high-performing organizations aligns perfectly with our vision for VMG Health’s future.”

Champion succeeds Cyndy Carr, PhD, who served VMG Health for seven years as President & Chief Operating Officer and most recently as Chief Executive Officer. The two have worked closely to ensure continuity during the transition.

“We are fortunate to have Wes Champion as our new CEO,” said Greg Koonsman, Founder & Executive Chairman at VMG Health. “Wes comes to us with a distinguished background in healthcare consulting and business leadership. His proven ability to drive growth in complex healthcare markets is exactly what we need to take VMG Health to the next level and expand our reach across the industry.”
