Catering to the Current Era of Social Snacking

With scrolling while snacking now considered the new normal, bibigo aimed to discover exactly how universal the habit has become. The brand went as far as enlisting the research firm Angus Reid to decode the habits of today’s multitaskers. The findings confirmed that for most people, eating and scrolling now go hand in hand. In fact, the survey unveiled that almost all Americans (96%) have used their phone while eating, and 66% of Americans use their phones often while eating at least one of their daily meals. The study also highlighted the daily struggle of the modern multitasker, with nearly three in four people dealing with frustrations while scrolling and eating, including:

  • The Mess: 41% are frustrated by getting their hands or phones dirty
  • The Comfort: 30% struggle to hold their phone comfortably while eating
  • The Screen: 28% face the challenge of keeping their screen clean

Those findings inspired the dumpling brand to find a new way to cater to fans in search of content and food enjoyment.

“We aren’t afraid to get a little unconventional to support our loyal customers,” says Federico Arreola Carrazco, Vice President of Marketing for bibigo. “We know our fans love binging content while enjoying our dumplings, and we want to be the brand that makes that multitasking seamless. We love dreaming up these fun innovations to celebrate our online community that has helped make our dumplings a hit.”

Following the success of the bibigo Dashboard Kitchen, ScrollSticks are the latest in bibigo’s line of "food-tainment" innovations. The reinvention of the silver Korean chopsticks is another example of bibigo going all-in to treat its community, ensuring they never have to choose between a clean screen and a delicious bite.

The ScrollSticks Experience

ScrollSticks feature a dual-ended design: use one side to enjoy your bibigo dumplings and the other to tap, swipe or scroll on your phone. This simple switch helps you enjoy scrolling and eating without one action ruining the other. When finished, ScrollSticks can be washed like any other silverware. Simply unscrew the touchscreen tips and place the chopsticks in the dishwasher or the sink to clean. Full details on care and use can be found on the bibigo USA website.

bibigo is releasing a limited number of ScrollSticks, available now until February 23. Fans can enter for a chance to get their very own pair at scrollsticks.com and follow @bibigoUSA on TikTok and Instagram for the latest updates. Grab yours before this exclusive drop is gone.
