The opening ceremony of the Hebei International Industrial Design Week 2025 (HIDW 2025) was held on September 20 at the Green Building Exhibition Center in Xiongan New Area, Hebei Province. This year’s Design Week, themed “Intelligent Design for Future, A New Chapter for Industry”, has its main venue in Xiongan, with three sub-venues in Shijiazhuang, Dingzhou, and Xinji.
At the main venue, a series of events will take place, including keynote speeches, the 6th Goldreed Industrial Design Award, the International Design New Product Launch, the Xiongan Design Forum, the Hebei International Industrial Design Innovation Achievement Exhibition, the Denmark Design Matchmaking Session, the Italy Design Matchmaking Session, the Japan Design Matchmaking Session, the AI Design Matchmaking Session, the Design Globalization Matchmaking Session, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Service Design Conference. Activities at the sub-venues will be organically connected with the main venue, ensuring interaction and integration to create a professional, high-end, and results-oriented platform for industrial design exchange and cooperation.
The HIDW is a key international and professional exchange event cultivated by Hebei Province. Since its inception in 2018, it has been successfully held seven times. This year’s Design Week highlights the concept of “Gathering Global Design, Serving Hebei’s Development.” It is closely aligned with the province’s industrial development priorities, with a stronger focus on accelerating the application of intelligent design scenarios, building Xiongan New Area into a new hub of innovation in the new era, injecting new momentum into industrial transformation and upgrading, and creating bridges for international resource connectivity. In doing so, it brings together global design innovation to promote the integration of cutting-edge design concepts and advanced design technologies with Hebei’s leading industries and regional industrial clusters.
As one of the highlights of the event, the main exhibition of HIDW 2025 covers an area of 8,000 square meters and features seven major sections, including the International Design Exhibition Area, the Hebei Design Achievement Exhibition Area, the “Xiongan -Design-Future” Exhibition Area, and the AI Design Exhibition Area. A total of 330 enterprises and design organizations from countries and regions such as Denmark, France, Italy, South Korea, Japan, as well as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong SAR, are participating, showcasing 3,200 new design products. The exhibition also features themed presentations from some of the most distinctive design fields worldwide – for example, Denmark’s furniture design, Italy’s fashion design, and Japan’s precision engineering design – which will be matched with Hebei’s characteristic industrial clusters, enabling international high-quality design resources to find the right partners.
