Oak Ridge, TN – ReVIDA® Recovery is a recovery organization that provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in Appalachia. This treatment is one of the tools the organization uses to help people heal from opioid use disorder (OUD). ReVIDA® Recovery is constantly expanding to better serve the people of Appalachia. Recently, they opened a new location in Oak Ridge.
“At ReVIDA® Recovery, it is our responsibility to do everything we can to reduce the number of opioid deaths that occur, not just in Anderson County, but throughout Appalachia. We know that the best way to do that is to provide low-cost, judgment-free, medication-assisted treatment to the people in our area who are living with opioid use disorder.
“If you’re one of the thousands of people in Tennessee living with OUD, we’re here to support you. At ReVIDA® Recovery, you’re not just a number but a unique individual who deserves to heal from your journey with opioids,” the website begins.
The ReVIDA® Recovery approach to treatment includes a few key components. First, patients will meet with a doctor who specializes in MAT. This doctor prescribes medication and assists with other aspects of care related to recovery. Next, patients meet with a care coordinator who can assist with documents for court cases, working with child protective services, and other important resources.
ReVIDA® Recovery’s Oak Ridge location has options for patients who may not be able to cover the cost of treatment on their own.
“We want anyone who needs treatment to get it. That’s why we accept TennCare in addition to most commercial insurance. If you don’t have insurance, you should still reach out to us. In 2025, we launched our Tennessee for All Program, which enables us to provide free treatment to Tennesseans who are experiencing financial hardship at all of our Tennessee locations, including our Oak Ridge addiction treatment center.”
A big part of recovery is therapy. At ReVIDA® Recovery, patients participate in both group and individual therapy with a trained therapist.
“Individual, outpatient therapy sessions will also be a regular part of your treatment experience. Our therapists use evidence-based therapeutic techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to empower patients to heal. In CBT, you’ll focus on understanding the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Then, you and your therapist will work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns and change them, leading to healthier coping strategies. Group therapy is the third consistent part of outpatient treatment that you’ll focus on.
“Our group therapy sessions are made up entirely of clients who are also doing MAT for OUD. This ensures that you’ll be with people who understand your experiences. In the group, you’ll develop a sense of camaraderie and mutually support each other over the course of your recovery,” the website continues.
ReVIDA® Recovery treats even the most severe cases of OUD at its Oak Ridge location. Patients can expect to be seen the day after their initial call or sooner. The Oak Ridge facility is located at 106 Administration Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
ReVIDA® Recovery has been providing quality medication-assisted treatment and outpatient therapy to the people of Appalachia for years. Their program utilizes both Suboxone and Sublocade because they have seen how effective it has been at treating opioid use disorder. They offer guidance and continued support for all patients and their families.
