SoftBank may end merger talks with T-Mobile

The markets extended its losses during the midday with the Dow falling 77 points to 23,356. Nasdaq slipped 9 points to 6,691.


Merger discussions between Sprint owner SoftBank and T-Mobile may come to an end. Concerns were raised by SoftBank directors that SoftBank would only own 40% of the new combined telecom that would have been the third largest in the U.S. The two parties were close to completing their due diligence and were just starting integration strategy discussions.


Kohl's Black Friday deals have been leaked. The retailer plans to open its doors at 5pm on Thanksgiving and will offer $15 in Kohl's Cash for every $50 that a customer spends. Popular electronics deals include a Samsung 55 inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV for $499.99, Samsung 4K Blu-Ray Player for $129.99, Sony Playstation 4 1TB for $199.99 and Microsoft Xbox One S 500 GB for $189.99.


Consumer electronics and lifestyle products retailer The Sharper Image opened a pop-up store in New York's Times Square for the holiday shopping season. The retailer filed for bankruptcy protection in 2008 and has not maintained a physical store in nearly a decade. The two-story location offers plenty of open space for customers to test drones and remote controlled cars.


In the broad market, declining issues outpaced advancers by a margin of ore than 3 to 2 on the NYSE and by more than 2 to 1 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 lost 8 points to 2,572. Bitcoin plunged $69 to $6,109.
