Versive Named to Prestigious AI 100 List for Second Consecutive Year

Versive, the leader in mission-focused adversary detection, today announced its inclusion on CB Insights’ esteemed Artificial Intelligence 100 list (AI 100), ranking the 100 most promising private companies in the world who are successfully using AI to solve significant challenges. Chosen from more than 1,000 applicants, the full list of selected companies will be unveiled December 12th in San Francisco, CA at the CB Insights invite-only A-ha! Conference. The event brings together Fortune 1000 executives, investors, academics, and startup founders to discuss next-wave ideas and technologies. This is the second consecutive year Versive has been named to the CB Insights AI 100 list.

“We are honored to once again be recognized among the most promising companies using AI-driven technologies to solve some of the biggest problems faced by organizations today,” said Versive CEO, Joe Polverari. “At Versive, we knew a new approach to cybersecurity was needed: one built around the unique characteristics of adversary objectives and behaviors inside networks. That is why we partnered with the world’s preeminent cybersecurity experts to automate and enhance their methodologies with our proprietary approach to artificial intelligence.”

Versive is empowering network defenders to take back the upper hand against bad actors by proactively detecting advanced attacks. The Versive Security Engine analyzes multi-source raw data, uses AI to compare suspicious behaviors against the network norm, and applies AI within a mission-focused framework to determine if a pattern of suspicious behaviors is part of a malicious campaign or merely noise. By tying together qualified findings from across the network into a contextual map, known as a ThreatCase™, security teams are able to focus their limited time on legitimate threats and stopping attackers before damage is done.

Versive’s inclusion on the AI 100 list for 2018 follows the company’s recent inclusion in the prestigious SINET 16 list of the most innovative cybersecurity companies awarded annually by the Security Innovation Network.

AI 100 winners are selected based on a combination of data submitted by the companies, responses to interview questions, and the company's Mosaic Score. Mosaic is an algorithm built with funding from the National Science Foundation that gives predictive intelligence into the health of private companies.

About Versive

Versive is the leader in mission-focused adversary detection. The Versive Security Engine (VSE) uses AI to automatically and dynamically contextualize behaviors within the adversary campaign mission stages. This enables the VSE to separate campaigns that warrant investigation from network noise, and deliver robust ThreatCases™ instead of a flood of disparate alerts. But cybersecurity is only the beginning. The VSE is built on an interoperable software platform that will be extensible to other use cases where expert human methodologies can be enhanced with AI. Versive is recognized on CB Insights’ prestigious AI 100 list of the most promising, privately-held artificial intelligence companies, the SINET 16 list of most innovative cybersecurity companies, and the Versive Security Engine won “Best of Interop 2017” for emerging security solutions.
