KANSAS CITY, Mo. - March 14, 2018 - PRLog -- Pathfinder Health Innovations (PHI) announced that the Company's Board of Directors has appointed Tina Youngblood, Ph.D., CPA as its Chief Executive Officer. Tina will assume day-to-day leadership focusing on the company's strategic direction and will join the Board of Directors.  Jeff Blackwood, Co-founder, has transitioned from his role as CEO to serve as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development.

On Tina's appointment, Jeff said, "I'm excited to have Tina join Pathfinder to help us launch the next phase of the company. We've been deep in development of the most advanced Practice Management system for autism therapy practices, and Tina's extensive experience leading successful companies will be invaluable as we continue our path. In my new role, I'll focus on expanding the great partnerships that power the Pathfinder community."

John Burch, Managing Partner of FCA Venture Partners added, "We have been pleased to work with Jeff and the PHI team over the last two and a half years.  We look forward to taking the company to the next level, being the true market leader in this emerging industry, with Tina's leadership."

Prior to joining PHI, Youngblood spent much of her career in C-suite leadership roles where she has a proven track record of profitable growth, employee engagement, and customer success.  She was most recently the Chair and CEO of Spencer Re, a niche reinsurance business serving franchised auto dealers in the United States.  She spent 10 years at Zurich Insurance where she held several management positions including being the first woman to be named President of Programs & Direct Markets, Zurich's largest business unit in North America.  Tina has a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Tennessee and was a tenured professor at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

"I am thrilled to join the PHI team and to lead the organization through its next growth stage.  This is the perfect opportunity for me to combine my experience in growing businesses with my passion for helping people with special needs."  Youngblood went on to say, "The most recent research from the CDC estimates that 1 in 45 children in the United States has been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).  That's up from 1 in 68 in 2012 and 1 in 150 in 2000. Our fully-integrated software solution helps therapists who serve that community. If we can make the therapist's lives easier, then they can spend more time with the children and adults who need their help."

Tammy Ham, Chief Executive Officer of BioNovus Innovations LLC, a Kansas City-based investment firm, said, "BioNovus is proud to support Pathfinder Health Innovations in transforming healthcare with solutions to simplify and streamline the treatment of autism spectrum disorder. PHI software benefits therapists and their patients by enabling more efficient, effective practices. We are very pleased to see Tina join Jeff and the other team members to lead PHI's growth to the next level. We look forward to great things for PHI as one of the success stories in our region's growing life science community."
