ModusLink Launches eStarter Storefront Based on Intershop Platform

Today ModusLink Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Steel Connect, Inc. and a leading global provider of digital and physical supply chain solutions, along with leading independent commerce software provider Intershop, announced a new joint offering – the eStarter Storefront. Based on Intershop’s market-leading technology, Intershop Commerce Suite, eStarter Storefront offers a secure, scalable and economical solution for companies that want to establish their digital sales channel in as little as four weeks. With an internationally operational shop, organizations can address their customers with individually tailored products and offers, and process transactions quickly and securely without having to invest in their own infrastructure and personnel. Without the need for time- and cost-consuming implementation projects, eStarter Storefront offers unique customer interactions from purchasing to order processing to service.

Developing an e-commerce store can be daunting. With eStarter Storefront, ModusLink manages the back end work of installation, integration and all technical operation, freeing the customer organization’s time and resources to be dedicated to its core business. The solution is hosted in data centers with the highest security standards and operates on Microsoft Azure. Relevant e-commerce processes and functionalities are available for B2C and B2B organizations.

“The partnership between ModusLink and Intershop has been a true success story,” said Axel Köhler, CSO of Intershop. “It is fundamental in the already well-established SaaS-based end-to-end solution. I’m certain that complementing this offering will create even more ease for companies new to this market, and will add new chapters to this story.”

“While we have been working with many businesses that have mature commerce solutions, we also partner with companies new to the digital sales channel,” said Michel da Silva, General Manager of e-Business at ModusLink. “This new offering helps our customers streamline as they integrate digital into their businesses. Not only is the inception simplified, but as the businesses grow there are built-in steps and sophisticated options to help along the way – both in terms of the e-commerce shop and the required logistics. This way we can support companies at every stage of their development strategy.”
