Inflation pressure creeps into more food-company earnings reports

Shares of Hormel Foods Corp. and Sanderson Farms Inc. fell more than 4% Thursday, after their quarterly earnings fell short of expectations and reflected the inflationary pressures that have weighed on many food companies this season.
