Pharmacy Times Continuing Education™ (PTCE), a leader in continuing education for retail, health-system, managed care and specialty pharmacists, will host the Directions in Oncology Pharamacy® Spring Meeting on June 9 at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

“Pharmacists practicing in oncology clinics, hospitals and specialty pharmacies have a significant impact on their patients’ lives,” said David Heckard, president of PTCE. “This program will provide pharmacists with current best practices, new and emerging agents, and practical information that they can apply immediately in their practices.”

Directions in Oncology Pharmacy® is a one-day interactive conference that will consist of six continuing education accredited sessions. The program is designed for clinical specialists, staff pharmacists and specialty pharmacists. The meeting offers practical live education to optimize treatment for patients with cancer. Topics including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, acute myeloid leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, multiple myeloma and other hematologic malignancies will be discussed by board-certified and expert faculty. Attendees will also have opportunities to network with their peers and the faculty and gain insight on the latest therapeutic advancements in critical areas, such as strategies for managing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.
