The highly successful 8Bit starship strategy MMORPG Pixel Starships launches a feature update this week which delivers a huge range of new content.

The update includes a complete rebalance of the PvP gameplay. Aimed at creating a smoother experience which will allow players to find battles faster and progress through the leagues.
The update also features new content for both new players and Pixel Starships veterans to use. New ammo types, including Armour Piercing and Shield Penetration, will be available to players. Multiple new customizable mid-game weapon platforms are available which will create expanded attack and defense strategies. New shield batteries have also been included helping players provide additional support to their shield generators.
The update also includes improvements to the story by adding new backstories for each of the three playable races with additional single-player missions.
Veteran players of Pixel Starships will be excited about the inclusion of new Room upgrade modules which can be restocked with new barriers and proximity mines to defend key infrastructure. Additionally, the new Python 3.0 AI instruction set will allow impressively complex AI setups for players ships.
With the update also featuring artwork and graphics improvements, the Pew Pew Update has something for all players to be excited about.
