It could also impact Amazon's current prohibition of CBD products. Much of the potentially increased availability of CBD products will also be impacted by the status of credit card payment processing for CBD products which is currently a dicey area causing some online retailers of CBD to use offshore credit card merchant accounts, a costly alternative to traditional credit card processing companies. Offshore merchant processing typically is more costly as these type accounts charge higher percentage transaction fees as well as usually requiring merchants to provide so-called reserve account balances.
