2018 SINET 16 Innovators Announced

SINET, an organization focused on advancing cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration, announced today the winners of its annual SINET 16 innovation competition. The winning companies represent a range of solution providers that deliver cutting-edge technologies to address cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. Winners were selected from a pool of 123 applicants from nine countries, including Australia, Canada, France, India, Israel, Italy, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. The selected companies will share their work with buyers, builders, investors and researchers during the SINET Showcase on Nov. 7-8, 2018, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Since the award program launched 10 years ago, the applicant pool of early stage and emerging technology companies with revenues under $15 million has become more and more competitive. Entries were evaluated in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee, which is comprised of 100 cybersecurity professionals, including chief security information officers from leading organizations worldwide, experts in government intelligence and defense agencies, and distinguished venture capital firms.

This year’s 16 winners are headquartered across three countries: Canada, the U.S., and Switzerland. In the U.S., six of the winners are based in California, four in New York, and one each in Massachusetts, Maryland, Texas and Virginia. Six of the companies were founded before 2013, with all others launching by the end of 2016.
