The American Journal of Managed Care® Announces the Latest Institute for Value-Based Medicine Meeting

The American Journal of Managed Care®the leading peer-reviewed journal dedicated to issues in managed care, will host a regional Institute for Value-Based Medicine meeting on achieving quality oncology care in a value-based medicine landscape. The meeting will take place Thursday, November 15, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Sofitel Philadelphia.

“This live, interactive meeting is a great opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn from some of the top experts in quality oncology care in value-based medicine,” said Gilbert Hernandez, director of sales of managed markets. “We look forward to educating attendees on ways to achieve top-quality care in this value-based landscape.”

This meeting features a diverse and highly educational agenda. Attendees will receive insights from case studies implementing value-based payment models in oncology practices, learn about the best practices in care management and pharmacy management, practice transformation in our new healthcare landscape, and gain practical guidance on the use of clinical pathways, patient management, and data reporting under new quality requirements. Attendees will also engage and interact with leaders who are driving quality initiatives in oncology.

The Institute for Value-Based Medicine is an informative regional series that focuses on mulit-stakeholder perspectives from oncologists, payers, and practice executives. With a goal to discuss pressing topics, such as the implications of value-based medicine on clinical practice, best practices in implementing the Oncology Care Model, and the integration of oncology clinical and financial-management perspectives with evolving value-based medicine, the program features leading experts from the field of managed care to enhance audience knowledge.
