Sirena Yachts is consolidating its presence in the US with 5 units of the new Sirena 58 already sold and others under negotiation.

In addition to her naval architecture by German Frers and interior design by Tommaso Spadolini, the new model is attracting North American owners for multiple reasons.

"We've seen that the priorities of U.S. owners have changed in recent years," says Constantinos Constantinou, head of operations for Sirena in North America. "Build quality is considered a given, but they are now putting much more emphasis on onboard liveability, safety and comfort. The Sirena 58 responds to all these needs with its hull design, accommodation solutions and technical specifications that are unique for a trawler-style vessel in her class."

The Sirena 58's lightweight semi-displacement hull, built using high-tech resin infusion techniques, can achieve speeds that are around 35% higher than a full-displacement hull with the same installed power. This means the yacht has a cruising speed of 19-21 knots and top speed in excess of 25 knots with standard 650-hp CAT engines (or 28 knots with 850-hp engine option). Conversely, at lower speeds she consumes significantly less fuel and at an economical 10 knots has an impressive range of 850nm. A shallow 4-foot draft combined with protective prop pockets makes the yacht ideal for cruising the shoal waters of South Florida and the Bahamas.

In addition, the carbon fibre superstructure and hardtop mean a lower centre of gravity and superior stability. The wide beam of 17'6" (5.35m) further enhances stability and comfort, but also provides more available space. The teak side decks, for example, are especially wide and protected by high bulwarks, while the main deck is on one flush level for easier passage between the the aft and foredecks.

Exclusive in her class, the Sirena 58 offers 3 distinct accommodation layouts on the lower deck. The version with two master suites, one in the bow and another amidships, was developed specifically with the U.S. market in mind and has the added bonus of a stairway from the forward cabin that leads directly to the exterior foredeck.

Alternatively, clients can choose from two layouts with a third guest cabin. In all cases, the cabins have en-suite bathrooms (a crew cabin is housed in the transom with access from the stern platform).

Technical specifications and onboard equipment for use in U.S. waters
Special attention has been paid to optimising the technical specifications and onboard equipment for use in U.S. waters:
• The electrical system is halogen-free with self- extinguishing cables and reverse polarity indicators.
• An inverter is standard for converting battery power to 110V, so the generator doesn't need to be started up to use the entertainment systems or other onboard appliances.
• A more powerful Cummins Onan generator and A/C system meets the higher climate-control demands in regions like south Florida or the Bahamas.
• A water-maker comes as standard and conduits are provided for the installation of appliances such as satellite TV and infra-red cameras.
• Extra fuel filters are fitted for owners who wish to take their yacht further afield where fuel quality may not be guaranteed. Side-boarding gates are also fitted as standard.

"Sirena is a relatively new player in the U.S., but the proven performance, comfort and seaworthiness of the Sirena 64 struck a chord with the market," concludes Constantinos Constantinou. "The Sirena 58 delivers all these qualities and more in a compact and stylish package designed to meet the needs of our discerning owners."
