There are two important steps to entering this year's competition, the spokesperson said. First, people who wish to enter will need to record themselves pitching their product or idea, as well as why they want to partner with InventureX to help crowdfund the venture.
Next, people should go online on the InventureX website and fill out the Idea Pitch form and follow the instructions.
''All submissions are confidential. The three winners will be announced February 15, so we encourage people to hurry and enter,'' the spokesperson noted, adding that the competition is ''like Shark Tank, but better.''
The person whose idea or product is selected as the winner will receive a full crowdfund launch with InventureX; this includes up to $25,000 in cash, crowdfund marketing, video production and other prizes.
The second place winner will receive the crowdfund success package, which includes up to $5,000-plus in free video production and consulting for their project.
''The third place winner will also receive expert crowdfund consulting, along with up to $500-plus in consulting to create a detailed crowdfunding success plan for their product or idea,'' the spokesperson noted.
