Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Sacha Obaid Joins the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS)

Society is dedicated to continuing education, exchange of knowledge among world-renowned plastic surgeons

DALLAS, TX, March 05, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- North Texas Plastic Surgery announced on Monday that founder and board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Sacha Obaid has been named a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). Founded in 1970, ISAPS is a forum for elite aesthetic and reconstructive surgeons from around the world to share their knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques.

"I have always been passionate about interdisciplinary education and training, which is why I'm so happy to be part of ISAPS," Dr. Obaid said. "During my medical school education at Harvard and my craniofacial surgery training at NYU, I had the privilege to learn from some of the best in the world. I have carried that training with me professionally, and now ISAPS membership gives me the ability to share my experience while learning from global leaders in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery."

Dr. Obaid is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (a prerequisite for ISAPS membership for surgeons in the United States). He is also certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Obaid has earned recognition from patients in the Dallas area, all of Texas, across the country, and around the world, making North Texas Plastic Surgery a destination for cosmetic procedures.

ISAPS provides continuing education and sponsors scientific seminars sharing the latest technology and surgical techniques. The ISAPS website lists membership in the organization at more than 3,200, with surgeons representing 103 countries.

Prospective members of ISAPS must be sponsored by two active members. Eligibility for active membership requires board certification in plastic surgery (or the equivalent of such, depending on the applicant's country) and a minimum of three years of practice after the completion of formal education and training. Applicants are then subject to extensive review, including evaluation of practice history seven years after graduating from medical school.
