Lemonade Day Brooklyn Garners Tremendous Support, Celebrates Third Year at Brooklyn’s Brownsville Recreation Center During Brownsville Old Timers Day July 23

Lemonade Day Brooklyn, which is affiliated with the Lemonade Day national youth entrepreneurship program, is celebrating its third year of operation on Saturday, July 27. On this day, 30 kids and teens will launch their lemonade businesses featuring refreshing Wyler’s Light lemonade and will host lemonade stands from 12 to 6 p.m. during Old Timers Day at the Brownsville Recreation Center, 1555 Linden Boulevard in Brooklyn.

Lemonade Day youth entrepreneurs will serve as official food and beverage vendors at this event. Many special guests including city officials and community supporters have been invited and are expected to attend. Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams will also present a proclamation making July 27, 2019, the official Brooklyn Lemonade Day.

“Lemonade Day Brooklyn provides an amazing platform for our Youth Entrepreneurship Program. We are honored to be a partner,” commented Central Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation Executive Director La’Shawn Allen.

Be That Kid Foundation and the CBEDC are hosting Lemonade Day Brooklyn with support from generous sponsors the Brother International Corporation, Staples, and Dawn Foods along with Old Timers Day organizers. Community partners such as Wyler’s Light, Spectrum Group Management, the Small Business Development Center-Brooklyn, TaylorAid, Medgar Evers College, LIU Brooklyn, and the Kid’s Breaking League are also supporting Lemonade Day Brooklyn.

“We believe that the spirit and drive of entrepreneurship are not bound by people’s age, especially in kids who will be building and running the businesses of tomorrow,” said Phil Lubell, Vice President SOHO/Consumer Product and Brand Marketing, Brother International. “We’re incredibly excited to support Lemonade Day Brooklyn this year to equip the next generation of entrepreneurs with the tools and resources to help them be successful in fulfilling their ambitions.”
