MacQue's BBQ International is Growing Their Que-Munity

Launching Franchise Opportunities

SACRAMENTO, CA, September 03, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Thomas, President and CEO of MACQUE'S BBQ INTERNATIONAL, INC, which is a newly formed franchise system in progress, is anxious to share their currently Black-owned local businesses across the U.S. and internationally.

The United States has seen a sharp rise in demand due to the Social injustices and support for equality and Michael Thomas and his team are prepared to manage the sudden increase for such businesses that has presented itself. Michael said "we are proud to be a very inclusive business and soon-to-be franchise system, and we welcome people of any color to check out our business and enjoy the warmness and family feel you'll experience when you walk in the doors. We are anxious to meet with potential franchisees from any walk of life that have a strong entrepreneurial interest and background to share our program with them."

MACQUE'S BBQ was started in 1986 as a mainly walk-up and drive-up barbecue business by Mack and Charlie Thomas in an industrial area in Sacramento, CA that was only open a few days a week. As the popularity of the food grew, so did the need for more space to operate from. The family expanded into the next-door business and opened to the public for a sit-down experience as well as grab and go meals.

Now MACQUE'S BBQ has expanded to its second location in the Elk Grove, CA community and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Nicole Thomas, Chief Administrative Officer of the company says "We are very proud to serve our 'QUE-munity' and we are so blessed to have ongoing support from it. We will not consider future franchisees as just 'business partners', but rather part of our family."

While Black-owned companies have typically experienced an uptick in business in the wake of increased activism, social media has definitely helped to accelerate that trend, according to Lisa Cook, a professor of economics and international relations at Michigan State University. Though scrambling to keep up with demand can be scary for business owners, it's also an enviable position to be in, as many minority-owned companies are struggling just to stay in business during the coronavirus pandemic.

But throughout the current pandemic situations, MACQUE'S BBQ has shown through a solid business model that they are prepared for economic setbacks, and they have seen exponential growth and now they welcome future franchisees of any color, ethnicity and background to experience for themselves this unique franchise opportunity that will be available by early 2021.
