Dr. Mitchell Ford Peabody, D.O., Tallahassee, is honored by the International Association of Who's Who as one of America's Most Influential Physicians for his extensive contributions within the field of Medicine as a Hematologist and Oncologist.

TALLAHASSEE, FL, September 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With a decade's experience in the medical field, Dr. Peabody has spent the past 3 years in his current role at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. Specializing in the areas of Hematology, Oncology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Peabody's role requires diagnosing and the medical care of cancer and blood diseases including Leukemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma, Lung cancer, Neurological cancer, Breast cancer, GI cancers, and head and neck cancers. He has extensive experience treating cancer in the form of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and bone marrow biopsy.

Dr. Peabody received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. Following on from this, he secured the opportunity to further medical training including internship in St. John Macomb Hospital in 2010, his residency at Providence Hospital in 2012 and his fellowship at Providence Hospital in 2015.

Dr. Peabody is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Peabody is professionally affiliated with the Tallahassee Memorial Physician Partners Cancer & Hematology Specialists. He maintains association with the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, ran as a private, not-for-profit community healthcare system. He serves on many committees for the hospital including the Committee on Cancer, the Breast Cancer Committee and regularly attends tumor conferences. He is an associate professor of medicine at FSU and teaches many medical students and residents about Hematology/Oncology. He writes and edits the national level AOBIM certification exam for Hematology and Oncology. He was appointed to the Florida state government Committee on Cancer Research and Control (CCRAB) in 2018 and proudly serves on the committee and several subcommittees.

In his time away from work, Dr. Peabody enjoys spending time with his family and his dogs. Dr. Peabody also has an interest in playing music, fountain pens, and fishing.

In recognition of his success, Dr. Peabody attributes his passion to his field, finding it 'interesting and challenging on a daily basis'. When it comes to treating patients he strongly believes in "Always give the best possible care for every patient".
