A guide detailing the use of essential oils to enhance winter wellness and ease seasonal stress has been launched by Loving Essential Oils. The site is owned and managed by certified aromatherapist Jennifer Lane.

Details can be found at https://www.lovingessentialoils.com/blogs/diffuser-recipes/winter-essential-oil-diffuser-blends

The recently launched guide includes a list of what the aromatherapist considers the best essential oils that one can use during the winter season. Among these scents are cardamom, cypress, ginger, myrrh, peppermint, spruce, sweet orange, and vanilla. Jennifer suggests that these oils be used in homemade blend recipes, especially in diffusers and roll-on bottles.

One of the ways of using essential oils during the winter is to create scented cards. This is done by adding a few drops of the winter essential oil of one’s choice to a cotton pad.

The guide instructs that the scented cotton pad be placed with a handful of cards in a ziplock bag and left to infuse for 24 hours. It cautions that the cotton balls should not be allowed to touch the cards as the oils on them could produce stains.

Scented pinecones are another winter essential oil idea discussed in the guide. The scented pinecones are created by adding several drops of one’s favorite essential oil to a bowl of pinecones and letting the aroma naturally evaporate.

In the blog, Jennifer also reveals her love for using her choice of essential oils to create custom blends. As such, she shares the names of some blends and recipes for those who are not fond of coming up with blends of their own. Among them are Holly Berries (which comprises blood orange, douglas fir, eucalyptus dives, and patchouli oils), Breathe Easier (made from a mixture of lemon, peppermint, eucalyptus, and rosemary oils), and Immunity (containing sweet orange, lemon, rosemary, tea tree, and frankincense essential oils).

The blogger also provides readers with some winter diffuser blends recipes through which the benefits of aromatherapy can be enjoyed. One of them, Freshly Fallen Snow, is made by adding three drops of white fir oil, two drops of cardamom oil, and one drop of clove oil to one’s diffuser. As its name implies, this blend was inspired by nature and freshly fallen snow.
