NCAA: Social media harassment of college athletes a growing problem due to sports gambling

The NCAA has hired a data tracking company that can pinpoint and shut down threats against student athletes on social media. At its annual conference in Phoenix, NCAA officials and other experts said that the rise of sports gambling is directly related to the rise in abuse against students when a team loses.
