GUIDANT BOARD’S DECISION

 

Natick, MA (January 17, 2006) – Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) today issued the following statement in response to the announcement that Guidant Corporation’s (NYSE: GDT) Board of Directors has determined that Boston Scientific’s definitive offer is superior to Johnson & Johnson’s (NYSE: JNJ) agreement.
