Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
(c) On January 9, 2007, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Melissa L. Burroughs as Executive Vice President/Chief Lending Officer for Old Point National Bank and Senior Vice President for Old Point Financial Corporation, effective March 1, 2007. Ms. Burroughs will serve in the same capacity as Mr. Cary B. Epes, Executive Vice President/Chief Lending Officer, who will retire from the Registrant effective February 28, 2007. Ms. Burroughs joined the Registrant in 2005 and has more than 20 years of experience in the banking/financial industry.
