Item 8.01.  Other Events.

On August 17, 2007, Buckeye Technologies Inc. issued a press release announcing its intent to call for redemption prior to their maturity $60 million in aggregate principal amount of its outstanding 9 ¼ % Senior Subordinated Notes due 2008 and will redeem such notes on September 17, 2007, in accordance with their terms.  A copy of the press release is furnished as exhibit 99.1.
