Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the “Exchange Act"). This information shall not be

On March 7, 2007, Callon Petroleum Company issued the press release attached as Exhibit 99.1
providing information regarding the company’s estimated net proved reserves and estimated present
value of such reserves for the period ending December 31, 2006.
Also disclosed in the press release dated March 6, 2007 attached as Exhibit 99.2, Callon
Petroleum Company announced that its fourth quarter and full year 2006 results of operations will
be released on Friday afternoon, March 9, 2006. A conference call to discuss the results and
current activity is scheduled on March 12, 2007, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time.
