On March 9, 2007, Callon Petroleum Company issued the press release attached as Exhibit 99.1
providing information regarding the company’s operating results for the fourth quarter and the year
ended December 31, 2006.

As disclosed in a previous press release dated March 6, 2007 and filed in the company’s Form
8-K on March 7, 2007, the company announced that a conference call would be held on Monday, March
12, 2007 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time.
