Item 8.01   Other Events.
          The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. (the “Company”) today confirmed that it has received an anticipated amendment to a loan agreement, the effect of which is to increase the Company’s borrowing availability. Available borrowings are generally based on defined levels of inventory, receivables, and leased equipment, as well as total debt to consolidated capitalization and interest coverage ratios which at May 31, 2008 levels would provide for maximum additional borrowings of $156.0 million.
