On March 31, 2009, The Lubrizol Corporation announced the expiration and final results of its
cash tender offer to purchase any and all of its $381.8 million principal amount of outstanding
4.625% Senior Notes due October 1, 2009 (CUSIP No. 54927 1 AD6). The press release is attached
