With his unique ability to blend adventure, thought-provoking themes, and compelling narratives, David captivates readers around the world while sparking important conversations about the future of our planet and society.
This one-on-one interview shares David’s background and experience writing the Earth's Ecocide series.
Tell us about the Earth's Ecocide series.
Wildfires raging in California, hurricanes battering Florida, tornadoes tearing through Oklahoma, droughts gripping Spain and Africa—these disasters are only the beginning. What will life look like when global temperatures rise by 2, 4, or even 8 degrees Celsius? What happens when sea levels surge by 1, 10, or 70 meters—or both?
The Earth’s Ecocide science fiction and fantasy novel series takes readers on a gripping, one-thousand-year journey through humanity’s desperate struggle to save Earth as a habitable planet. Each novel follows a family’s fight for survival amid climate catastrophe and the rise of unregulated artificial intelligence.
This adventure-packed saga is a wake-up call, revealing how humanity’s inaction and delays are leading to ecological suicide. More than just science fiction, these novels explore profound questions about our survival, the interconnectedness of life, the role of the soul, and the purpose of the universe.
Will humanity overcome these three mega trends—or succumb to them? Find out about Earth's Ecocide!
What inspired you to write the Earth's Ecocide series?
My mission is to save humanity from extinction. We are at a tipping point, facing three major existential threats: climate destruction, unregulated artificial intelligence, and human non-cooperating behaviors. These “great filters” hinder intelligent life from thriving, and if ignored, they could lead to our extinction.
Through Earth’s Ecocide, I’ve crafted an adventurous and cautionary tale that follows a family’s struggle to confront these mega-threats, while exploring the profound connection between science and spirituality. Through the books, my goal is to encourage others to become “Champoids™”—protectors of Earth’s biosphere and champions of our species.
Ultimately, these stories are more than fiction; they are a call to action. It’s time to recognize what’s truly at stake—our planet, our survival, and our humanity. Join me in the fight to save our planet and ensure we have a future worth living for generations to come.
How did your background and experience influence your writing?
Writing the Earth’s Ecocide series was a bold decision, driven by my deep passion for our planet and a desire to spark real change. These stories are adventurous and entertaining, but they also address urgent issues that could foretell human extinction. I believe fiction, and hopefully movies one day, can create the ‘emotional connection’ needed to inspire action and help humanity recognize its responsibility to protect our species and Earth’s well-being. We as a species have no idea how special we are in the universe. Earth’s rare, balanced, fragile, and priceless biosphere is an absolute jewel in the universe. To protect it, we have to forge a new path that addresses and mitigates the mega trends of climate destruction, unregulated artificial intelligence, and non-cooperating human behavior to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
What is one message you would like readers to remember?
Wake up, humanity! It’s time to act—NOW!
Join me in the fight for species survival—become a Champoids™! Together, we can protect and restore Earth’s fragile biosphere, ensuring its majesty for future generations. Vote for leaders who champion sustainability, regulate AI, hold polluters accountable, and prioritize our planet’s well-being.
Explore the urgent realities and possible futures in my eco-science fiction series, Earth’s Ecocide. These novels blend adventure and insight, offering a glimpse into what’s at stake—and what we can still save. Let’s fight for our planet, our species, and most importantly, our future.
