- Mr. Vorderer is succeeding John Trainer who will transition into a new role -

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer's)—the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol— today announced that it has appointed BJ Vorderer to the role of Executive Vice President, Managing Director, American-Liberty Division, effective October 1, 2022.

Mr. Vorderer, who will report to Gene Sullivan, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, will be responsible for overseeing Southern Glazer's American-Liberty Division, which is the dedicated division for the Pernod Ricard USA portfolio across Southern Glazer’s U.S. network in 35 states.

“Rich experience, extensive industry knowledge, and strong leadership are all things that BJ is bringing with him to the American-Liberty Division,” said Gene Sullivan. “He’s the perfect person to step into this role and bring continued success and prominence for Southern Glazer’s partnership with Pernod Ricard USA. Mr. Vorderer has over 25 years of experience leading organizations and teams through large scale go-to-market redesign and implementation, business acceleration, and brand building to drive business performance. Since 2003, he held several roles of increasing responsibility at both Southern Glazer’s and Pernod Ricard USA. In his most recent role, Mr. Vorderer served as National Vice President, Commercial Planning & Operations at Pernod Ricard USA.

Mr. Vorderer is succeeding John Trainer, who will be transitioning to a new leadership role at the end of the year, to be announced. Mr. Trainer and Mr. Vorderer will work closely to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities.
