NAEPC leadership presented Kamin with the award during a ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on November 14, 2023. This prestigious award is given to only a handful of estate planning professionals annually in recognition of their lifetime achievement and outstanding contributions to the practice and profession of estate planning within the professional disciplines of academia, accounting, insurance and financial planning, law, philanthropy, and trust services.

As Gresham’s Chief Wealth Strategist, Kamin leads the development and implementation of activities related to wealth transfer planning, fiduciary planning, estate and trust administration, philanthropy, and family education and engagement.
Kamin is an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, on faculty for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education, and on the Editorial Advisory Board of Trusts and Estates Magazine. She is also Regent for the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), Estate Planning and Legal Issues Domain Chair for the UHNW Institute, on advisory boards for multiple local philanthropic organizations, and a member of The Economic Club of Chicago.
A frequent speaker and writer nationally, Kamin is the co-executive editor and co-author of Leimberg Library’s The Tools & Techniques of Estate Planning for Modern Families. She received her B.A. from Stanford University and her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
