CLS Releases the Situational Change Leadership™ Program

The Center for Leadership Studies (CLS), the global home of the Situational Leadership® Model, announced today the release of the Situational Change Leadership™ program, a flexible, multimodal experience that enables leaders to approach each change situationally, create alignment between their team and next-level leadership and drive success and engagement.

All organizations undergo change periodically to stay relevant in fluctuating markets where demand, trends and technology evolve seemingly overnight. From minor process improvements to significant acquisitions and restructurings, change is an essential catalyst to progress. But nearly 70% of change initiatives fail and 57% of employees think organizations do not manage change well.1 The Situational Change Leadership™ course is geared toward improving transformation outcomes by introducing a four-phased, intentional process that enables leaders to positively influence the reactions and implementation of change using Situational Leadership® practices.

“Change is an inevitable part of work and one that we’re experiencing more and more often. It’s our goal to help leaders not only learn to live with change, but also to thrive in it,” said Suzie Bishop, VP of Product Development at CLS. “The Situational Change Leadership™ course teaches leaders to be resilient, positive and confident in their ability to do just that.”

The Situational Change Leadership™ course expands an individual’s leadership skills, focuses on the leader audience and teaches skills to effectively manage a change initiative. This new program encompasses a broader audience and complements any leader’s learning journey, taking their skills to the next level.

The Situational Change Leadership™ program features consistent learning outcomes across four critical modalities: in-person instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), digital blended and self-paced. This enables organizations to leverage the modalities that are most impactful to their learners and increase the scale and speed of their leadership training to develop more leaders in less time.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the course includes accessibility compliance, impactful paced lessons, multifaceted collaboration, reflection, discussion and application activities, as well as video case studies that reflect today’s modern and dynamic workforce when faced with change.

The Situational Change Leadership™ course is available as both a public and private workshop. For client trainers seeking certification, CLS offers a streamlined, single workshop certification process to deliver the program across all modalities, making it easier to ramp up internal training teams.

When debuted to an external pilot audience, participants praised the applicability and tools included in the program. “This was a great course with so many valuable takeaways! I especially found the phased process very relevant and easy to commit to memory with the self, team and individual categories that I could apply in multiple ways.” Another participant remarked, “The course has definitely increased my awareness of what could be affecting resistance to change and how to use leadership styles to impact that positively. Additionally, evaluating ourselves, our team and informing your leader is something I'll use over and over again. It grounds you where you are.”
