AmeriPro Health (“AmeriPro” or “the Company”), an industry leader in patient logistics and last-mile healthcare delivery, announced that its Board of Directors (“the Board”) has named Larry Richardson as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 4, 2025. Mr. Richardson, a Co-Founder and previously the Company’s Chief Business Officer, succeeds Suhas Uppalapati, who has left AmeriPro to pursue other professional ventures. Mr. Uppalapati will remain on the AmeriPro Board.
Founded in 2018 by Mr. Richardson and Mr. Uppalapati, AmeriPro is a fast-growing, tech-enabled, medical transportation and patient logistics platform with a dedicated team of 1,300 employees serving a diverse group of leading health systems and communities across nine states. Over the past seven years, the Company has entered 30+ new markets, including recent further expansion in the Midwest through its acquisition of Nebraska-based Priority Medical Transport in February 2025.
Mr. Richardson has been deeply involved in AmeriPro’s recent expansion through his oversight of the Company’s investment in AI, development of diversified service lines and expansive core business of high-quality ambulance services. He will continue to lead the Company’s execution of its growth strategy by bringing access to healthcare for the most vulnerable and diversifying AmeriPro’s health care services.
“It is a great honor to assume the role of CEO for AmeriPro, which continues to set the pace in our industry for high-quality care and technology-focused solutions that are creating a better tomorrow for both our patients and healthcare partners,” said Mr. Richardson. “I wish Suhas all the best moving forward and I’m grateful for his leadership over the past seven years and the work he has done to execute on the vision we set out to accomplish when we founded AmeriPro. We are implementing this succession plan at a time of exceptional growth and opportunity for AmeriPro – our team is well positioned for 2025 and beyond, and I look forward to building on our existing strong foundation of success.”
"It has been a privilege to lead AmeriPro for the last seven years and I am so proud of all that we have accomplished together,” said Mr. Uppalapati. “I am confident in Larry’s ability to lead the Company through its next chapter of growth with the same commitment to strengthening the health and safety of our communities that has always defined AmeriPro. I look forward to remaining involved as a member of the Board and witnessing AmeriPro’s continued success and innovation."
As part of this leadership transition, Thomas McEntee, who previously served as AmeriPro’s Chief Administrative Officer, has been named Chief Business Officer.
Mr. Richardson began his career in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent eight years as an active-duty marine before transitioning to the EMS sector, working as a licensed critical care and nationally registered paramedic. With more than two decades of experience in a diverse range of public and private administrative roles, he has excelled in operations, government affairs, business development, strategic planning and revenue management. Mr. Richardson earned his MBA from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He also has a master’s degree in finance from the University of Miami and a bachelor’s degree from Clayton State University.
