Mercer Advisors Expands Upstate New York Presence with Long Run Wealth Advisors

Lake Placid–based firm adds bespoke planning expertise and multi-generational client relationships to $92 billion national RIA

Mercer Global Advisors, Inc. (“Mercer Advisors”), a national Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), today announced the acquisition of Long Run Wealth Advisors (“Long Run”), a Lake Placid, New York–based wealth management firm with approximately $640 million in assets under management (AUM). The partnership expands Mercer Advisors’ upstate New York footprint beyond its Rochester area office located in Fairport and strengthens its ability to serve clients throughout the Capital Region (Albany/Saratoga), Northern New York and Vermont

Led by principals Kevin Brady CFP® CFA® and Lynn Magnus CFP®, Long Run provides comprehensive, personalized financial planning and wealth management for clients, including families, retirees, business owners and nonprofit organizations such as endowments and foundations. The seven-person team is guided by its longstanding philosophy: “Preparing You for the Long Run.”

2025 and 2024 - Barron’s Top 100 RIA methodology

Mercer Advisors was ranked #1 for non-mega RIA firms. Advisers who wish to be ranked fill out a 100+ question survey about their practice. Barron's verifies that data with regulatory databases and then Barron's applies their rankings formula to the data to generate a ranking. The formula features three major categories of calculations: (1) Assets (2) Revenue (3) Quality of practice. In each of those categories Barron's does multiple sub calculations including asset type, growth, client retention, technology spending, succession planning, diversity of their teams, charitable and philanthropic work and compliance records.
