Program grows 74% year over year for second year running as demand rises for technology supporting under-resourced legal and investigative work

Everlaw, the cloud-native investigation and litigation platform, today announced significant strides for its Everlaw for Good Program (E4G), surpassing $6 million in total donated technology and expanding support to a growing network of nonprofits, legal aid organizations, pro bono teams, investigative journalists, and educators working to advance access to justice.

Over the past fiscal year, Everlaw for Good supported more than 675 active cases across 235 organizations. Everlaw also donated $2.5 million worth of product value during the year alone, helping mission-driven teams handle complex investigations and litigation despite limited resources.

The growth reflects rising demand for advanced legal technology among organizations serving communities that often lack adequate representation, alongside increasing interest in AI-powered tools among nonprofits and legal aid organizations. According to Everlaw’s survey on AI and the justice gap, legal aid organizations are adopting AI at roughly twice the rate of the broader legal profession, and 88% of legal aid professionals say they are optimistic about AI’s potential to help narrow the justice gap. The need is urgent: an estimated 92% of the civil legal problems experienced by low-income Americans receive no or inadequate legal help.

• Approximately fourfold growth in investigative journalism participation, reflecting rising demand for advanced technology in modern newsrooms as journalists work to do more with fewer resources—from major national and international outlets to local newspapers and independent reporters
• More than 80 organizations leveraging Everlaw’s advanced Everlaw^AI Assistant generative AI tools, as access to justice organizations increasingly turn to AI to help scale their impact and expand legal support for underserved communities
• Supported matters ranging in size from less than 1GB to as large as 3.9TB, reflecting Everlaw for Good’s ability to power both smaller community matters and large, complex cases
• Named winner in the Enabling Access to Justice category at the fifth annual Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards

Everlaw launched Everlaw for Good in 2017 to help level the playing field for justice by lowering the financial and operational barriers to equitable access to modern investigation and litigation technology.
