The membership process starts with nominations from either an internally constituted, fair selection committee or by other lawyers. Once the nominations have been made, an independent research and review process is undertaken to assess the nominee’s case results, verdicts or settlements, honors and awards, special certifications or qualifications, representative clients, reviews online from Google and Avvo, legal experience, educational background, and other factors. The thorough review and selection process will also consider Pro bono and community services as well as lectures, writings, and publications.
Following the second phase, nominees who have been cleared advance to the ethics review and background check phase, where they are evaluated based on the criteria outlined in Provisional Patent #62/743,254. It is imperative that nominees have maintained a spotless ethical record over the past decade at the time of the review.
Subsequently, lawyers who successfully navigate this rigorous process are chosen from the final pool of candidates and extended invitations to join the esteemed Lawyers of Distinction network, recognizing their exceptional qualifications and commitment to ethical standards in the legal profession.
