Carlos Garcia is a shrewd businessman running a market chain and providing a comfortable living for his wife and daughter. Carlos is also a doting father and husband and would do anything for his family. When Carlos’s teenage daughter grows curious about the country where her parents grew up, she contrives a plan to visit their homeland of Cuba. Carlos, however, has been left scarred by his years under Castro’s regime, and he cannot force himself to return. His wife pressure’s Carlos, and he gives in–to a certain extent. He agrees to arrange a visit for his wife and daughter.
What should be a powerful experience for Carlos’s daughter quickly turns into a life-threatening situation. Mother and daughter soon find themselves the victims of kidnapping and in the midst of the Mexican cartel war. It is up to Carlos’s wife to put to use the skills she has learned, some of which came from her husband, as she fights for her and her daughter’s lives. Danger and drama are the rules of the day in Cabrera’s high-action novel.

Eralides E. Cabrera was born in Cuba and immigrated to the United States as a child. He has authored several fiction stories of love, relationships, and mystery. He lives in New Jersey and practices law. Cabrera is a graduate of Fordham University and Brooklyn Law School.
