Spirit of Faith Bible Training College is a two year Bible Training College. The mission statement is "train leaders and equip saints".
The college provides sound biblical teachings that will help each student recognize the call of God on his or her life and equip each student with the tools needed to succeed in that calling.
The President and Founder of the college is Chris Barnett. He is an Oklahoman native and 2006 graduate of Rhema Bible Training College.
As a missionary, he loves teaching and preaching the Word of God. In June of 2006, he was part of a church plant on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Globe, Arizona. In September of 2008, he moved to Accra, Ghana West Africa where he helped start Global Harvest For Christ Bible College, now known as Rhema Bible Training College Accra.
He is currently the President and Founder of a second Bible training college, Spirit of Faith Bible Training College in Keta, Ghana.
The college was created by remodeling an old school building. It brought a lot of excitement to the community to see an old building being restored.
One of the early challenges to the school was a severe storm that came off the ocean and knocked out power to the community for a week. However, with the help of a generator, the school got back on its feet and running.
Fluctuating electricity was an early problem at the school. There has been prayer and focus on improving the infrastructure and the infrastructure is being upgraded to work properly in every area of the Volta region.
There has been interest in the Volta Region at large about the school. The Assemblies of God Churches in Keta (Volta Region) are considering the possibility of sending present ministers to the College for ministerial training.
Keta is on a peninsula and is a fishing community.
One of the upgrades the school has helped make in the region is the digging of a canal from the lagoon to the ocean so that during rainty season water flows to the sea instead of flooding people's homes.
