First Phosphate signs LFP technology agreement as company looks to improve battery performance

First Phosphate Corp CEO John Passalacqua joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the company has entered into a licensing agreement for joint lithium iron phosphate (LFP) production technology licensing with Integrals Power Limited in the United Kingdom.

Passalacqua also shared with Proactive the agreement will see Integrals Power validate First Phosphate LFP-grade purified phosphoric acid and iron sulphate for the use in LFP battery cells. They will also use its cathode active material homologation process using First Phosphate LFP-grade purified phosphoric acid and iron sulphate.

The company is “cautiously optimistic” that the IPL technology could hold the answer to improved LFP battery performance.
