Circle Partnership to continue providing healthcare services in Nottingham

By: PRLog
PR Log - Feb 21, 2013 - Having already run the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre’s services for the past five years Circle, Europe’s largest healthcare partnership, has once again won the contract to provide services from the Centre.

For the past five years, Circle has been running the Centre as a high-performing day surgery facility that has achieved an average 99% patient recommendation rate. Under the terms of the terms of the previous contract, the supply of services were required to be re-tendered after the five-year period.

Commenting on the award of the contract, Circle Chief Executive Steve Melton said that Circle was delighted to be able to continue providing healthcare service for patients in the Nottingham area. He described Circle’s bid as “an innovative bid put together by the local clinicians who have been delivering quality services on the frontline for the past five years.” He added that, “This decision is a vote of confidence in Circle's cutting-edge model of clinical leadership and employee engagement, which is now benefiting patients across the country.”

The tender process lasted seven months and was conducted on behalf of the Principia Rushcliffe Clinical Commissioning Group by the NHS Midlands and East’s Strategic Projects Team. The new contract is for a further five years. Details of its terms and anticipated revenues should be finalised and announced in the next few weeks.
