Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. Promotes Bill Kelley to Vice President, Safety and Regulatory Compliance

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (AAWW) (Nasdaq: AAWW), a leading provider of global air cargo services, today announced the promotion of Bill Kelley to Vice President, Safety and Regulatory Compliance.

In this position, Mr. Kelley will be responsible for the Safety and Regulatory Compliance departments, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control, to ensure a continued safe and compliant operation. He will develop, implement and monitor appropriate safety and compliance programs and initiatives throughout the Company. He reports to John W. Dietrich, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AAWW.

Mr. Kelley has most recently served as Senior Director of Safety/Internal Evaluation, and for the past year, he has been the acting head of Technical Operations.

Bill is a strong leader and valuable asset on our management team, said Mr. Dietrich. Bill very effectively assumed the additional responsibilities for aircraft maintenance over the past year. He helped the organization deliver outstanding performance. All the while, Bill maintained AAWWs strong track record for safety and regulatory compliance. We look forward to his contributions in this expanded new role.

Mr. Kelley will be succeeded in the technical operations role by Mark Swearingin, who joins AAWW as Vice President, Technical Operations on July 23.

Mr. Kelley joined the Company in 1999 as Director of Safety. He is a qualified Boeing 747 pilot and retired Air Force officer. During his 21 years in the Air Force, Mr. Kelley held various high level positions in safety, operations and maintenance.

Mr. Kelley holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
