DigitalPR Scholarship Announces New $1,000 Grant Awardee For School Year 2020-2021

Fort Lauderdale company DigitalPR recently announced a new winner for their annual scholarship program. The DigitalPR Scholarship awardee will receive $1,000 financial assistance which will be applied in the fall semester of 2021.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL / ACCESSWIRE / July 26, 2021 / Florida-based branding company DigitalPR released the announcements for a new winner in their scholarship program. The DigitalPR Scholarship is an annual program that accepts applications from incoming and current higher education students all over the United States. This year's winner is Shuan Moran, a graduate student from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Shuan will receive the $1,000 grant in the 2021 fall semester.

Academic accomplishments are not just achievements that exist on their own. Being able to get a degree in college translates to so many things: A chance for a higher-paying career, more opportunities in networking with others, and opening up doors for professional advancement. Higher education is a window of opportunity that presents many paths towards financial stability and fulfillment.

Unfortunately, not all students can achieve this goal easily - and it's not because they are not mentally capable to do so. Many of them have difficulties affording college expenses, especially the soaring tuition fees. As much as 50% of students in high school opt not to go to college because they cannot afford it.

Public relations and branding company DigitalPR believes that every student should have the chance to advance in their education. Through their scholarship program, their hope is to help many students complete their higher education degree to change the course of their lives.

In the recent scholarship application rounds, DigitalPR asked the essay question: "In your opinion, what company has had the best branding strategy in 2020? What separates the branding from the competition?"

Scholarship awardee Shuan Moran explained the ingenious strategy of LEGO through LEGO Ideas.

"Over a decade ago, LEGO launched LEGO IDEAS, an online platform that hosts user-generated content, encouraging the public to engage with LEGO by proposing designs for new LEGO sets," he explained.

"It not only allows LEGO enthusiasts the opportunity to potentially see their own designs reach store shelves, it also provides a pathway to entrepreneurship for those artists whose creations LEGO selects for production, with a 1% share of royalties. As a result, LEGO effectively enticed not only youngsters aged 13 and older, but also adult LEGO aficionados into joining the LEGO IDEAS site and submitting proposals," Shaun added in his essay.

Shaun explained the power of user-generated content and how much it has grown LEGO's following and engagements.

"Beyond its own digital platforms, LEGO maintains a formidable social media following with which it interacts with its consumers. 811,000 users follow the official LEGO Twitter account. 7.1 million Instagrammers follow the LEGO Instagram account. 12.6 million people subscribe to LEGO on YouTube. On Facebook, LEGO commands a whopping following of over 14.1 million users," he mentioned.

"With LEGO Con 2021, LEGO opened the door for yet another effective method of digital marketing in their corporate plan. Only time will tell which revolutionary step LEGO will take next as it continues to perfect its digital marketing," Shaun concluded.
